One of the nice things about large international brands is that it costs them almost nothing to try out different things.

This JDM Seiko can mostly be found branded as an ‘AVENUE’ which is a brand Seiko manufactured for Japanese youth but it appears there was an appetite to try this style out internationally and so a few were thusly branded as Seiko watches and sent around the world.

The uncommonness of this watch demonstrates its lack of success on its world tour, the small size probably the main contributing factor. At 32mm the case size which might have been very popular with Japanese teens did not resonate with western crowds.

Nowadays I feel this size represents a very good unisex size and I look forward to someone agreeing with me.

Condition: good vintage condition with more signs of lack of use than wear.

Strap deteriorated and replacement strap will be provided.
